“Split of two projects from St. Petersburg, Russia, with one 9-min track from each one. Kryptogen Rundfunk slowly unfolds a calibrated rhythmic structure, gradually saturating it with fragments of radionoises and drone waves, and then switches to broadcasting sharply outlined distorted bursts, turning into a radionoise frenziness… II:II builds up a multi-layered stream of analogue sound with smooth techno-industrial rhythm, slowly pulling the listener into the oneiric quagmire…”

12.10.2020. Kryptogen Rundfunk participated in a tribute compilation to the late Karelian artist Den Noiser, remixing one of the tracks by Den’s project Mare Desiderii. The compilation is available on bandcamp. Later the label Valgriind released it on a cassette in its Glacir Cassette Series.

10-14.09.2020. A trip to the annual open-air festival Solar Systo Togathering 2020. Performing several live sets, both solo as Kryptogen Rundfunk and DJ Kryptogen, and as a member of Lunar Abyss and Petrograd Drone Gathering.
Some of these recordings were later released on a triple CD compilation by ZHELEZOBETON, available on bandcamp.

07.08.2020. A new release by Petrograd Drone Gathering “17022017”, the project I’m involved in.
“Streams of sounds of winter ice-covered rivers, the rumbling of mountains and frozen forests in the snow are tightly intertwined with iron loops and electric current. Intertwined, tangled, rooted with age-old roots in the concrete walls…” Label Status Prod. presents the album of Petrograd Drone Gathering “17022017”. Petrograd Drone Gathering is an improvisational orchestra of experimental Petersburg (and not only) musicians with non-permanent membership, widely known in Russia and abroad. All performances of Petrograd Drone Gathering are distinguished by an unusual sound, a subtle interweaving of forest noises and urban hum, the unique charm of ambient and the strict rumble of drone… Album contains a recording made at a concert at the Sound Museum (Art Center “Pushkinskaya 10″) on 17.02.2017, Saint Petersburg, Russia. The unique atmosphere, captured on the CD, was created by: Snezhana Reizen, Uhushuhu, Lunar Abyss Deus Organum, Ogni Videniy, Mira Drevo, and Neznamo… The album was released in an edition of 150 hand-numbered copies and is a folder made of designer cardboard with a curly card-attachment.”

20.03.2020. A new release! Radioson vs Kryptogen Rundfunk “Dissoluteness”, a collaboration album with this Moscow-area based project also working with recordings of radiowaves is out on NEN Records. Very limited edition cassette in a highly unusual packaging.
“The recording comprises fragments of radio broadcasts, EV-phenomena living their own lives, haunting signals and phantom sounds. It almost took years to create the opus, as the experiment was very time-comsuming. All sources went through the tape again and again with one and only purpose – to amplify defects and artifacts to the utmost. Repeated re-re-re-recording of the phonogram resulted in a canvas of unpredictable landscape, woven from interferences of ornate structures.”
